Haha-yep spot on post. Some of those bands are amazing (esp Duran Duran, Sabbath, ADF, Dexys). Birmingham is a very underrated place in general, there are some great pubs, restaurants and Birmingham Hotels.

Rest easy! I checked it out and you are right. I don't really even remember what they sound like but becaus eof the name I kind of assumed they were from Glasgow. What next, a band from Glasgow called Moss Side?

Whatever happened to Jenny Storm from the South Side and her 90s band "The Hideous Things"?
Maybe she plays in one of these groups you've listed, these days.

Ps Jenny is an unbelievable guitar player BTW.

Liked your rant on bands you hate, not sure if Rolling Stones would meet with total approval though. Good call on Empires and Dance. Have no longer got a copy, but some good memories of it. Also good to see 'Boy' in there , however i'm more of a Joshua Tree man myself. Amazed and jealous you've still got loads of hair. ...Ken
